Day 49: Phu Quoc (still)

Claire: Still here! We've decided to stay until the new year as it's been lovely to rest and recoup some energy after our galavanting round the country. We check out of the place we've been for two nights (which was really grating on us!) and arrive the White Lotus resort back in Ong Lang village which is delightful. We really wish we'd spent the whole time here but that'll teach us for booking everything last minute during holiday times! 

We pretty much have the pool to ourselves all day so we relax, do a bit of work, have some lunch, then head to the beach for late afternoon sunshine and to watch the sun set. 

With it being such a beautiful day we decide to call it our Christmas Day (attempt #2) and finish the evening with dinner at Mai Jo — a Vietnamese/Portuguese fusion restaurant... the best meal and wine we've had on this island. Yum.
