Day 84: Laid back Lipe
Claire: Thailand's midday sun is just too hot for us so we keep activities to morning or late afternoons. This morning we walked the coastline from Sunrise beach to Sunset beach. We had to walk through some rock pools to get round some sections but we spotted loads of crabs and tropical fishes. The water is so clear and so warm, and there's plenty of little hidden coves.
We strolled back via the local villages and we were so excited we’d found a bakery too so stocked up on savoury and sweet goods for lunch. Which we were pretty happy about until I found a metal staple in my banana bread. Thankfully it didn’t rip my tongue apart.
The rest of our day was 'werk werk werk' so naturally we ended it with after-work drinks. On the beach. We met a lovely danish couple who sat with us for a couple of hours then we’d planned to meet them for dinner. But unfortunately internet and phones aren’t always the most reliable so that didn’t go to plan!
Gav's lazy day 84 takeaway
- Oh y'know, lazing around on a beautiful tropical island, watching the beautiful sunset over a couple of beers whilst the late afternoon sun shimmers off the golden grains of sand that remain stuck to our sun soaked skin from a glorious day of relaxing exploration. No biggie. As you were.
