Hello!

This is our little diary of a our 99 days travelling South East Asia.

Day 59: Phnom-Penh, Phnom-Penh, Phnom-Penh-music

Claire: We are feeling very grateful today. After yesterday’s journey we relax and catch up on a bit of work from our lovely balcony in Villa Samnang — our luscious dwellings for the next few days. Located in the trendy Boeing Keng Kang 1 (BKK1) district we’re surrounded by beautiful French colonial buildings and it feels very peaceful despite being in the centre of the city. We have a saltwater pool (which actually to my surprise doesn’t feel like sea water!) and I’m a little in love with the tiles too. Such a sucker for a pattern!

A glass of wine, some music, our balcony… ahhh! Tomorrow we shall explore.

Gav's day 59 takeaway

  • Don't order beef bourguignon in Cambodia, even if it's a French restaurant! Nice flavours mind but yeah, perhaps they forgot to slow cook it? Claire's was really tasty though and the place, Langka was super cool :)
